Legislation and consultations
Mums for Lungs believes that government and local authorities are not doing enough to address the public health crisis of air pollution.
A pillar of our campaigning has always been to write letters to MPs, ministers and local councils, and to respond to public consultations on public policy proposals. Consultations we have offered input to include the Southwark, Richmond and Lambeth transport strategies, the proposals to pedestrianize Oxford Street and the proposals to build a third runway at Heathrow airport. We have written to the Chancellor ahead of the budget, five ministers, and responded to the Clean Air Strategy consultation.
