Primary school air pollution assemblies

10th August 2023, updated December 2023

We have written two primary school air pollution assemblies, one for Key Stage 1 (age 5 to 7) and one for Key Stage 2 (age 7 to 11), to help inform the next generation about the impacts of air pollution.

The Key Stage 1 (KS1) assembly covers what happens when we breathe, the importance of breathing clean air and some of the sources of air pollution. It is intended as a gentle assembly or talk for Reception age children and above.

The Key Stage 2 (KS2) assembly can also be adapted as a lesson or workshop and is a more in-depth look into what causes air pollution and what we can do about it.

You can download both assemblies and their accompanying notes below.

If you have any questions, please get in touch. And send us feedback if you present it at your school!
