If you care about air pollution, you’ve come to the right place!

Turning concerns into action

A group of people holding a large white banner with pink text that reads 'Kids need clean air!' and a green circle with the words 'MUMS FOR LUNGS'. Several people are wearing white T-shirts with the same logo, and the scene takes place in front of the UK Parliament with Big Ben visible in the background.

Are you worried about the smell of the air when you walk your child to school? Or concerned every time you smell woodsmoke on your road? Have you heard about School Streets and want to know how to get one at your child’s school?

These are just some of the things people talk about when they first get in touch with us. People often feel helpless about air pollution and don’t know what to do. If this is you, then you’re in the right place!

Small things can make a difference - if you have five minutes to spare, you could start by putting a poster up on a community noticeboard, or by leaving a few flyers in your local cafe.

Monthly meetings and advice

You’re very welcome to join one of our friendly virtual monthly meetings, or send us a message if you need advice, and our Volunteer Co-ordinator Sharon can give you a quick call.

Everyone is welcome; we began as mums on maternity leave but have grown to become a network for everyone - we have volunteers all over the country, and you don’t have to be a parent to get involved. You can give as much or as little time as you have - we’re busy people living our lives and campaigning on the side!

Volunteer groups

We currently have groups in the London boroughs of Barnet, Ealing, Wandsworth, Lewisham and Greenwich, a group in Greater Manchester and strong campaigners in various other parts of the country, including Birmingham and Nottingham. Our wood burning Google group has members from all across the world.
