Clean Air Night posters

8th January 2026

Did you know that when you smell wood burning, you’re inhaling tiny particles of soot and carbon that can harm your health?

These particles affect not only the people burning, but also have a significant impact on the whole neighbourhood. People often feel helpless when it comes to their neighbours’ burning habits.

Even homes with newer “Ecodesign” wood burners are three times more polluted than those without.

Many people are unaware of the risks associated with wood burning, which is why we’re putting up posters to support Clean Air Night. This annual campaign raises awareness of the effects of wood burning on air pollution and health.

If you’re worried about the dirty air created by wood burning, let us know here, we’re bringing people together to respond strongly to the current government consultation on reducing emissions from burning.
