What happens if you win?
Your artwork will be out in the world! Winning designs will be turned into lamppost banners and displayed on a South London street for a whole year as part of the Mums for Lungs Clean Air Art Trail.
Your design will also be shared on our website as a downloadable poster or flyer, so people across the community can use it to spread the word about clean air.
When will the winners be announced?
We’ll reveal the winners on Clean Air Day - Thursday 18th June. If you win, we’ll contact you using the details you provide, and your artwork will be shared on our social media too.
And that’s not all…
The banners will go up later in the Summer, and winners will be invited to a special launch event to celebrate their amazing work!

Create your artwork
Use any materials you like - paints, pens, pencils, collage - to create an A4-sized, portrait (vertical) artwork. Be bold, bright, and creative so that your design stands out on the lamppost. Our theme is: “Kids for clean air”. Feel free to use one of these slogans in your design, or make up your own:
We need a pollution solution!
Drive less - walk, scoot, cycle more!
Little lungs need clean air.
Leave the trees - burning makes me wheeze.
Stuck? Think about:
What would a world with clean air look like?
How does air pollution impact our health and the planet?
How can we travel without cars?
How can we heat our homes without burning wood?
Need inspiration to get you started?

Further information
A quick note for parents and carers
By submitting your child’s design, you’re giving Mums for Lungs permission to share it - on lamppost banners, our website, social media, and in other campaign materials. Please see full terms and conditions here.
What happens to the winning designs?
Once winners are chosen, a team of talented art students at Morley College will help adapt the artwork so it works as a lamppost banner. This might mean small changes to make colours brighter or words easier to read, but they’ll keep the design as close to the original as possible.
Questions?
